Whitlingham Broad Campsite is a family run campsite located in the Broads national park and on the edge of Norwich city. With camping pitches and glamping options, set in the beautiful Whitlingham Country Park, we offer a simple relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the great outdoors.
We recruit seasonal general assistants who can help with the daily running of the site over the busy summer season from May to September every year. We are looking for lively and energetic individuals who enjoy working a varied day in all weathers and reaping the benefits of being in a countryside setting

Weekend campsite assistant and cleaner - immediate start - contract length until end 2024 (negotiable)
Approx 4-6 hour shifts every Sat/Sun. Extra hours available
Pay Rate: National Living Wage
No two working days will be the same but the basic job is to help our guests to enjoy their holiday. Tasks will range from providing a friendly face and local knowledge in our reception, checking people in, offering help and dealing with shop sales and restocking, to cleaning the toilet and shower block, stacking wood, mowing the grass and general maintenance of the grounds and site.If you're like us and love fresh air and helping campers enjoy their holiday, then this could be just what you're looking for.
The job can be quite physical, sometimes stressful, you need to be prepared to work hard but it will also be fun! You will be provided with all the training you need and the site owners will usually be on hand. The working shifts may vary, and extra (paid) hours may be required at short notice; but we’ll always do our best to let you know of any changes as far in advance as possible.

- Senior campsite assistant – flexible contract hours to suit seasonal business and applicant needs begins at Easter schools holiday – contract until September – to be discussed with right candidate Hours:flexible contract hours to suit seasonal business and applicant needs. Approx 10hrs per week (typically weekends) initially for spring season, rising up to 37.5 hours per week over 5 days in school holidays (Easter/May half Term/ Summer)
Pay Rate: National Living Wage
- General assistant x2 – 20 hours - rising to 37.5 hours per week, working 3-7hr shifts between 8.00am - 8pm - 5 days out of 7, temp contract starting May 2023 and working until early September. National Living Wage.
- General assistant x3 – 25 hours per week contract, more hours will be available, working 3-7hr shifts between 8.00am - 8pm, temp contract starting mid July 2024 until Early September. Weekend work also available from May to contract start.

- Reception, shop and customer service, inc checking in guests and taking bookings onsite booking and queries - provide tourist information. taking cash and card payments
- Cleaning of toilet and shower facilities
- Working on own and as part of a team to time pressures
- Cleaning and general maintenance of glamping accommodations - changing beds etc. prioritising daily tasks
- General maintenance, grass mowing (ride on) and groundwork etc
- Accepting deliveries, restocking
Person Specification:
- Must be adaptable and flexible with the energy to maintain a positive outlook to greet our customers with. Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and on own are essential.
- Good all round skills, esp customer service with the willingness to learn on the job,
- Basic computing skills to use a bespoke system/digital till required
- Good knowledge of The Broads, Norwich and surrounding areas desirable
- General DIY skills desirable (but not essential!)
